Phil,
Do you use Photoshop? If so, which version are using? When you use a wide angle lens you run into convergence problem. Walls will tilt in or out. If you shoot a tall building you will notice that the lines of the building start converging towards each other as they go up. When using Photoshop you can use the lines hidden in the rulers to use a makers then use distort to straight. Good luck

Congrats on the new acquisition, Phil. I love shooting with my wide angle and I think if you play around and practice a lot, you will too. Not to discount Doug's comment, but with a good amount of toying around, you may not even need to use photoshop to correct distortion and convergence. You will eventually discover how to level the camera just right to eliminate distortion and convergence. You may need to take a few steps forward or backwards as well. Take some practice shots that also include some of the foreground and see how that does for you. If all else fails, you can then rely on photoshop.
Enjoy!

Namaste!
