I wasn't really sure where to post this so this is where it ended up.
Where do you think is the best place to buy background papers and muslins as far as selection, price, and service is concerned?

Being a cheap SOG, I buy muslin from Walmart, adn I tried dying one a light blue ans was very very happy with the results. With the price of muslin, why would you want paper?

That's a good question David. I'm not really sure. There must be a use for background paper else they would not be selling it. I got a roll of white and neutral grey from Alzo Digital. The white I have been experimenting using colored gels on a background flash and that works pretty good. The neutral grey I will be using in some headshots I will be doing for my wife's company. I very well might try some muslins too. I'm just getting to the point where I am considering all of these things.
Thank you too Loana. I still have never made it down to HCE but know I really need to. I am just afraid if I go I will end up buying all sorts of things that I might not really "need".

Paper is cheap compared to what you "used" to have to pay for muslin. You can roll paper up and put it under the bed, adn paper will never wrinkle. Now then paper tears, gets dirty easy, cant wash it, and you have to buy it again adn again.
Muslin is now as cheap as paper, you can fold it up, wash it, dye it, and you can store it easy and not wrinkle it much if your careful.
Oh, and if you wrinkle paper, its history. Just my .02cents
