I am looking for a good spot for a weekend trip.
Don't want to go any further south than Corpus Christi and no firther north than Port Arthur.
That should still give me plenty of options.
But I do not know of many scenic locations.
Would like some rocks to be in the shots if possible.

Any of you guys have some recommendations and maybe some pics to look at?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Keith,

Here are some shots that I took in Corpus and at the beach at the Padre Island.

We just took IH-37 down there, then down 358, then 22 and turned South on the S Padre Island Drive. Turn left at any point to get to the beach;) I don't recall any rocks around where we were, but it was a nice beach.

The sunset photos are taken from a restaurant on the East side of the bridge - kind of under the end of the bridge. Beautiful view, good servier, but we still haven't quite got over the food<g>

Best regards,

Galveston has all sorts of possibilities, from historic homes and buildings to a large port, to the beach, to the seawall (always good for people shots), to the Bolivar ferry that is a free ride across the bay, to tall ships, to ratty dockside shanties to falling-down stuff to opulent things and Moody Gardens ... you get the picture.

It's one of my favorite Texas coastal destinations because every trip can be completely different from your last one.
