I did some sharpening and skin-retouching. I now see the shadows under his eyes-any way to edit those out? Thanks for input. Would clone stamping help with skin issues?

Here's a quick try with Portrait Professional. Did it real quick, suggest next time using a touch of fill flash on your subject. Reflectors work wonders, a simple hand made one using Aluminum wrapped around cardboard works great in redirecting you light into the subject. I'm on an uncalibrated laptop with reduced screen power so hopefully this looks ok.

Pam, remember the reflector I showed you when you were down here, this example would be a perfect time to use it! You can blind your son like we did your hubby! LOL

The clone stamp is a sledgehammer for fixing that problem... the healing brush (I think that's what its called) in Photoshop is a better choice.

Personally, I use Paint Shop Pro and have other ways of retouching that. What program are you using?

Hey Brad! Thanks for responding. I'm practicing with the clone stamp and I definately need practice-I've used the healing brush, also and just haven't got the hang of it! It comes up with a misplaced eyeball, etc.

Arlington Camera is a good place to start, mine is on the smaller side, so ask them for a 42 Inch, 5 in 1 reflector, or you can order them from B&H for pretty reasonable.

Though the clone stamp is a sledge, i love it sometimes...
I usually create a new layer and clone stamp using 30 or less percent.
Then after i get it all smooth i make the layer to 70 transparent and i enjoy the results.

Just another way to skin a cat.

Bought a Photoflex with stand kit 5 in 1 for 99.00. Come with a video from Wolfe Camera off Harry Hines. Gee Whiz. Stand is pretty durable.

PS elements 6 is what I've just started using. The healing brush left a huge "scar-like" area on his forehead. Not exactly sure what type of "brush" to use with it.
