Kimberly,
You just missed the most intense week of learning posing, lighting, etc. It all happened at Texas School put on by TPPA the last week of April at Texas A&M in College Station. Check the TPPA
http://www.tppa.org/ website for the dates and times for Kerrville it is in late June. One of the great books on posing was written by Don Blair and Skip Cohen, entitled “Don Blair’s Body Parts to lighting and posing. Don Blair was a masters, master. He was my first instructor at Texas School and I use what I learned from “Big Daddy” in most of my portrait sessions. If your library doesn’t have a copy ask them to an inter-library loan search, if they can’t find it, try connecting Marathon Press. Also, books by Tony Cobell
www.corbellproductions.com/, Doug Box dougbox.com, are also excellent sources. Check out Frank Cricchico’s
http://www.frankcricchio.com/ he too is a Masters, master. Study the images they have on their sites. They all have books about posing and lighting. Also, a good guide is Photography by Barbara London and John Upton.
These should help.
