There has been a whole lot of confusion on the fix for the magenta skin tones when shooting jpeg with the Nikon D1. This is the low down. The D1 saves its jpegs in the NTSC color space. Try doing a batch convert from the NTSC to the sRGB as your first step in you workflow.

Or do what I do, and just shoot raw and post process with Nikon Capture. I don't know how many D1 users are still out there, all I know is that I still like mine. It is like an old car that you worked on for years and have learned the ins and outs of. Yeah the newer cars are better and easier, but it still gives you a good feeling driving with it. :D
