I do what John does. I use the ICC profile for the paper and print from photoshop. The paper profiles are downloadable at the paper manufacturer's web site. I don't know what the Canon driver is like, but the Epson one has a place to turn off color management by the printer. You select this and let photoshop manage colors. You can use "proof set up" under "view" in photoshop to see how colors will look on various papers. "Rendering Intent" usually only has a minor effect on the colors, but you can also see how these change the colors in proof set up. For a while I always used "perceptual", but later found that I sometime like "absolute colormetric" or "saturation" better. |
