I'm goingto the balloon fest on sat. night and I'm gonna try to shoot the Glow. Any tips or ideas would be a big help!! Just finished watching the DVD Nikon D300 from Magic Lark. What a great video!!

My immediate thoughts are (1) spot meter the brightest balloon so you don't blow any highlights, and (2) shoot at the lowest possible ISO for your given aperture and shutter speed to render as little noise as possible (might require a tripod).

We"re going to try and make it out there on Friday. Thanks for the tip. What would you suggest as an aperature.

I would say keep your shutter speed at about 1/20th or 1/30th. Unless they are sitting on the ground, balloons move.
