Metallic Paper? - 09-17-2008, 01:07 PM

I am considering having this printed on metallic paper, since I haven't tried the metallic paper out yet. Does it seem like a good choice?

I've used it quite a bit, this shot seems like a good candidate. Some pics show the metallic effect more than others. For me, strong contrasts and saturations pop on metallic.

Thanks for the input. I will probably order it both ways, so I can get an accurate idea of the differences. Thanks again!

It's a good candidate for metallic paper - it'll REALLY pop.

I print exclusively on metallics. This image will have so much depth that you will feel as though you can reach down and lift her up out of the image. That is the biggest advantage to printing on metallics.. the true depth dimension is realized. Shoot something like a bridge that goes on forever.. and print it 11x14 or larger... step back.. and if you shot it right, you will walk into a wall trying to cross the bridge. Black and whites are exqusite on metallics ... I use them primarily with my sports images and posters... I printed a couple of family portraits @ 20x24 and the image is full of life.

I have not done anything with the saturation level like the fridge in your image.. but I am betting its sweet looking...give me a call we can schedule a time to check some stuff on metallics that I shot.. if you are up for it.. I am here in Plano... pretty close.. your call.
