Why do you choose a particular brand/line of filters? - 11-19-2008, 09:33 AM

Hi All,

I tried the seach feature for this subject and failed to come up with anything quite close. I'm curious to know how you all go about picking a particular brand/line of filters to protect your lenses. I use Hoya Super HMC UV(0)filters but, that choice was the result of a subjective evaluation process I learned from the guys who sold my camera. With so many options, I know others will have their own criteria. I also realize someone may have a different way of thinking that could help me become a better photographer.

Thanks in advance,

GM

Hoya: Best bang for the buck.
B+W & heliopan: Best filters.

I buy B+W and heliopan filters used in good condition for less than Hoya new. Works for me.
