What is everybody doing to get clean night time football photos? Currently shooting with a Canon 50D and 70-200 2.8L lens. A lot of the images are noisy at 1600 and 3200 ISO. TM |

It also depends if you are shooting in a good stadium or not. I'm usually at ISO 3200, 1/500th at f2.8 in a decent stadium, and that is pushing it. In a really good stadium, like a college stadium, more like ISO 1600 at 1/500th + and f4. Also, running a noise reduction software. I shoot Nikon, so I don't know about Cannon, but there may be some internal noise reduction. |
