I wanted to cover some basics when to get great looking colors. There are two free resources that I'd like to share that are overseen.
First is getting the Jpg colors you want using Picture Style Editor found on the the canon CD that came with your Camera. The idea is to create your own custom picture style. Open it up, drag a raw file in. It will start with the basic picture style "standard", it doesn't matter since this is only the starting point.
Now click on the eyedropper (#1) and select the color tones you want to change. Adjusted the Hue, Saturation and Luminance to get the colors you want.
You can do this as many times as you like with other color tones. When you get the colors, its just a matter of saving this as a "recipe" and giving it a name. I would go nuts, because every lighting situation is going be different. I did this because I was seeing a magenta color cast to every jpg and I want a warmer feel to the images.
Second step is to connect your camera to your computer and open EOS utility which is also included on the CD. Now you want to transfer that recipe to your camera and it will save to one of you "user def." settings. You can name it anything you like.
Thats it... Just make sure you select the "user Def" # you saved it at in your camera when shooting.
