How to voice over a power point presentation - 02-06-2009, 12:00 PM

I have completed a power point presentation for a resort. I used captions etc. and now the client wants a voice over the photos. How do you do this: quickly and inexpensively?

The only way I know of is to make the sound clips, store them to the computer, then "Insert">"Movies and Sound">"Sound from File".

The other would be Insert>Movie and Sound>Record Sound. I think this is where you can voice over an individual slide, but I've never done it this way.

each of these place a speaker icon on the slide, click on it and it plays.

the alternative is to record a separate sound track and play it separately thru a MP3 player, manually synced. kludgy but i've made it work in the past....

The Audacity solution (per Kyle, above) looks a lot simpler.
