Pixel Crop - 10-04-2005, 11:55 AM

Is there anyway to crop to exact pixel sizes?
I'm at 300 dpi and I need to crop images to the following sizes:
500 x 500 equalling no more than 70k
475 x 374
and 460 x 245

Since I only know how to crop in inches, how can I get to these exact sizes? I've searched all over. I'm needing these sizes for a website that Blu Domain is making for me, but I'm not having much luck getting them on the phone.
Please help!

If you’re using photoshop it is pretty easy...

1) Select the croptool in your toolbar, 3rd logo tool from the top at your left.

2) At the top of your screen you get the possibility to insert the size, you should insert width "500 px" (px = pixels) and height "500 px".

3) Now when you drag the tool over the image you want to crop, it will make it exactly 500x500 pixels.

I hope I explained it good enough, if not, I will do it more thoroughly!

good luck,

Frank

Another option is to crop to the correct aspect ratio using the crop tool without worrying about pixel size, and then just use Image->Size to interpolate to the correct dimentions.

Manually without telling exact size to crop, You can tell the crop size by bringing out "Infor platte"....
Change platte options by right click on "play icon" on top right corner then select platter options.
Change Ruler units to "Pixels". So now you can watch closely to crop size on info platter by pixels unit. The "W"&"H" units is the "crop" or "select" sizing.

note. Use "Ctrl +" to enlarge image for precision cropping.
Hope that helps
