fortunately, I use 1 card for each half and only lost 5 images this time, but I'll have the backup by week's end..... |

Like any thing else in this world, if it is important you need to back it up and store it in a safe place. Because most of technology is very stable we forget that it will break, usually at the most inopportune time. In the class it was a very good point to make backing up and other storage devices part of your work flow.
When is the next session?

I'm assuming you want honest feedback on the class, so here goes:
First, the class was worth the $50 (especially since I won a door prize ). I did learn some good things, and your no-loss work flow techiniques were great. Also, you had a good presentation and answered all questions that were asked. However, I think that Photoshop is just too big a subject for one short class. I noticed there were advanced users in the class, as well as beginners. I know the lady sitting next to me did not get much out of the class, because she was a beginner and had no idea of the Photoshop basics (plus I think she was an artist, not a photographer, and didn't understand the photography references). Also, there was too much time spent at the beginning of the class discussing data backup and loss. It was great information, but with a short class, I would have rather spent that time discussing Photoshop. The only other thing I would have liked to have gotten out of the class was a better understanding of levels and curves. But the part where you did discuss curves was very informative. My biggest problem in Photoshop is still identifying the things that need to be corrected in an image. Not things like blowouts or obvious color cast (those are easy to see), but things like flat color and too much/not enough contrast or saturation. But I think that has more to do with experience rather than a knowledge or lack of knowledge of Photoshop. Anyway, thanks for the class. I enjoyed it.

That is my count also. Since I didn't request TPF user names on the registration forms I am working on matching them up so I can post the list of all who attended. I will have it posted later today. | | | |

I agree with Troy, if there is a y you could offer a course that is designed for those of us on the bottom and then scale upwards from there I think that you would create a new niche for yourself in the industry, locally at least.
