5' Octagon Softbox - 10-17-2005, 09:34 PM

I got a 5 ft Octolume from Amvona, I tried it out out at a wedding reception, without fill light to see if it was a true wraparound light, here are some results.
Give me some comments.

Another name for Octobox perhaps? That's what the catchlights look like to me.

Octolume is a brand name for a octagon shaped softlight. They have this brand on Ebay.

The pictures look waaaay dim. Are the AB's at full ? With a softbox that large, you might need a little more flash power. Or adjust accordingly on the cam for a longer/smaller fstop exposure.

BTW, how do you like the octolume? Does it come with baffles and everything? What would be really awesome is iff you had a picture :) but that's just me hoping.

Refer to the link in my last post for the picture. These shots were done in a brewery at night with no other lights, I have done some with another AB at a 45 degree with better results, for the money I am happy with it.
