Was assigned to photo some Hurricane Evacuees to accompany a written article.
Only access I had was while they were being interviewed.

Thanks go to Leslie for giving me some advice. I felt more comfortable with her words of wisdom..

Thanks to both of you.
I have a new respect for the craft.
Taking a photo of a car, or of someone you can pose, can have its own challenges but
this sort of photography requires a different set of instincts. And, unlike wedding photography where you are capturing the moment, that moment is joy and to me is more easily recognized.

Its not easy capturing emotion, especially grief and sadness. Tom, you did a great job here, and the black and white images just add to what you are trying to show. I have noticed others in here who also prefer black and white for this type of image. These are outstanding Tom!!
