This is a photograph I took at the Making Strides Breast Cancer walk on the University of Houston. Feel free to critic the photograph, is the only way I will get better. It is the only photo from that set that I spent any real time on post. It is finals week so I am pretty busy but I really like the photo so spent a little bit of time on it before posting to my web site.

Hi Ronnie - and welcome to the forum. I think you will find this is a good place to learn.

I assume you are looking for a critique of your photo from a photojournalism standpoint.

As a nice photo for a friend, its fine. You've stopped the action and its decently composed.

As a PJ photo, it is not very good. Your story is about a walk for breast cancer, but there is nothing in your photo that says anything about breast cancer, why the subject is running, nor about the event taking place at UH. A good PJ shot should tell a story but I see no story in this photo.

Good luck on finals!

Thanks for you comments. I have a bunch that tell the story about the event. This is just the only one I have done any real editing on. The others can be viewed on my web site Zenfolio | RRcoleJR Photography if you care to look. Hoping in the next week to do a better edit on the ones there. For the most part they just have crop/straiten/quick levels applied to them.
