Nice shots Gene. I live in the Heights so these photos hit close to home. Considering I live close to that intersection you can say in the literal sense as well.

Thanks Tam, Yea it was one of two fires I stumbled across. I just learned that the HFD wants to use some of these and photos from the Heights Blvd. fire to decorate Fire Station #6 ... which is pretty cool.

Great looking photos! Did you just happen to be at the right place at the right time? Any problems with local police while shooting?

Thanks, Just smelled the smoke and heard the trucks... was only a block away. Cops were cool. I find if you stay out of the way, look like you're working, and don't ask questions, nobody bothers you. We'll unless your holding a point & shoot camera.

Yeah, I live in a 1916 home in the historic district in Dallas, so house fires in these old houses, no matter the neighborhood, hit home with me as well. The images tell the sad story.
