I see that we have some talented concert shooters on this board - how about the rest of you? Do you bring your camera to concerts just for fun like me?

Yeah, I'm old - so I actually do know who these guys are........These were shot with a D70 and cheap glass from cheap seats because photography is just a hobby for me.

Depending upon the venue, you may not be allowed to shoot with big lenses. That's why I used the little D70 and a compact 70-300mm zoom for these.

Being discreet is the key, but I doubt that I’ll get away with it at the Aerosmith concert this summer.

The ZZ TOp image is very nice...

ive shot a bunch of shows and i must say shooting concerts is a blast for me..

ive always loved live music and when i got into photography it was natural for me to try and combine the two together.

Marc - these were shot at ISO 1600! I am used to seeing much more noise than that. I really like the images.

Reminds me I remember seeing ZZ Top at a bar in Texas when they had a $1 cover . . .I guess that really dates me . . .

I agree with others, the ZZ top picture is my favorite of the bunch.

I do some shooting at local small venues w/ local bands, but I haven't done any bigger concerts. Its definitely interesting working with lighting, especially if its constantly changing.
