One of the reasons we don't see images like this in the US is most companies will not sponsor documentaries with images this powerful. James Nachtwey explains about his photos, which are just as powerful or more so than these, is companies do not want their products to be associated with these types of images. Those of us in this country rarely know the true horrors of these types of events that happens outside our borders...

However these images play a big part in spurring the rest of the world into action by providing doctors, medicine and other relief efforts.
