I kind of like it and kind of don't. I think I might like the black & white effect more if the shot was taken from a different angle, if that makes any sense. I plan on going back to that location, there is just so much to shoot there. I think I might try shooting it from some different perspectives.

I've done quite a few shots of headstones, cemeteries, etc. One of the attractions is that cemeteries tend to be the oldest manmade items in existence in their location. A brand-new-looking headstone doesn't have much photo appeal. One a hundred years old does. If a cemetery is too well-kept, or too dilapidated, it doesn't work as well.

Seeing that stone reminds me of one on Hwy 287 between here and Amarillo. It's in front of a funeral home and says "Drive Carefully, We Can Wait" or words to that effect.

I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by,
and then it petered out and I had to retrace my steps and wasted half a day.

A far more interesting cemetery in this vein is the Berachah Home & Cemetery on the UTA campus.

Many of the stones just say 'Infant' and have number. I once years ago did a large B&W collage of 36 8x10 prints with just numbered head stones.
