Haltom City Flood - 06-18-2007, 11:06 PM

I stopped by a friends house to take a few pics of the damage to his place. He lived in the Skyline Mobile Home Park in Haltom City were the flood waters killed a 4-year-old girl. They found her body about 100 yards from his front porch.
These are just some quick snap shots of some of the damage around there.

They had just pulled this truck out from behind one of the mobile homes.

There were chunks of asphalt all over the place. This is my friends front yard.

This mobile home floated more for more then a block before getting stopped by a tree.

The back side of the same mobile home. There was a whole stack of cars back there before I got there but only one now.

wow, amazing stuff.. and amazing amount of rain we have had this year.. I can't recall a spring like this in my 38 years of living here..

My parents are over in Colleyville area, I haven't even spoken to them.. I wonder how hard it hit over there?

Haltom City has had a rough year weather wise. I haven't heard anything on Colleyville Andrew but I didn't know anything about Haltom City until late this afternoon.

Jake you did a good job of capturing what the forces of nature can do. Very sad about the little girl.

This was not far from my place at all, maybe 1.5 miles or so. We had around 5.5 inches of rain in just a few hours.
My friends place had about 18 inches of water running though it and his mobile home sits about 4.5 feet off the ground.

I'm trying to get of hold of my friends in Gainesville, they had some crazy flooding up there.

By one of my friends houses up just north of Keller the water got under the asphalt on a bridge and shifted the whole thing and caused the asphalt to buckle all over the place. crazy stuff. I couldn't believe the shots from Haltom and Gainesville though, thats some amazing amounts of water.
