Trying my hand at Photojournalism for the first time. Please let me know what you think. Constructive criticism always welcomed.

Firefighters carry a "wounded" guard during the MasCal exercise held at COB Speicher. The drill is conducted to test the emergency readiness of the 1st Responders on base.

A Civilian Contractor Medic assess the wounds of an "injured" man as a Force Protection Soldier stands guard. The MasCal exercise conducted at COB Speicher consisted of various units and groups on the COB.

Rene, very nice photos. Your angles and lighting shows you put thought into these.

You might have better luck posting the images directly here....some of us are kind of lazy!!!

Well exposed, sharp photos. I like the contrast in the first one between the seriousness of the mock situation vs. the little happy decoration in the window at right.

What lens were you using? It appears that you were close to the action. If the emergency had been real, likely you'd be pushed further away from the scene and need a longer telephoto.

Yes, I was close! Fortunately I had easy access since I'm the Medic Supervisor for my group of Medics out there!! Real scenerio, I wouldn't be anywhere close taking photos, instead treating the REAL injured!

This was my first time out with the Nikon 24-70 f/2.8. That's the primary lens that stays on my camera all the time. Love it!!

Thanks for the comments.

Rene, didn't you get the memo? All the photojournalists are becoming wedding photographers :)
