Thanks for sharing these. I went down to a house they were building outside of Houston once. It was such a wonderful feeling seeing the workers working all over the location.

My cousin knows the couple very well. The wife is a photographer. Her website is http://www.amberaugustin.com/. According to the article below there was a studio in the home that was destroyed. Can't wait to see what Extreme Makeover did in building a new one!

Keller family, flooded out of home, wins Extreme Makeover

A Keller family displaced from their flooded home will have a new home built for them this week by crews from the television show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and Arlington-based Wall Homes.

Amber and Peter Augustin of Keller were told Monday morning that they would have their Keller Hicks Road home rebuilt for them this week and featured on the ABC show, according to a statement from the show.

In addition to construction crews from Wall Homes and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," hundreds of volunteers will descend on the property this week to build the home in 106 hours.

The Augustins' home flooded in June 2007. They removed the rotten walls, but the family of five had to leave the home. City and county officials have told the family that the home must be raised one foot to be habitable.

The Ty Pennington-hosted show is focusing this year on "Heroes in the Community."

Amber Augustin, a photographer, runs an organization with her husband that takes pictures of premature infants for families. The photography studio for Tiny Works of Heart was destroyed in the flood.

Peter Augustin is also a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
