A car runs off the road and is abandoned to the waters during Hurricane Ike. Sept. 14 2008, George Bush Park, Harris County, TX.

I had to circle several times to get a clean shot. People kept stopping on the road and approaching the vehicle to see if assistance was needed. (The car was empty.)

It's an OK shot.
It might have been a good photo if you had some people stopping by to see if everyone was OK ?? Human interest photos generally are better if there are humans in them.

Thanks, Tom, for your feedback. Funny how I wasn't wanting people there at all, and actually went to some effort to make sure they weren't. In retrospect, I should have shot it both ways... because you're quite right that including them would have made a different photo altogether.

is this car for sale?

but on a serious note... even with out the people. It has a mysterious feel to it, and than after looking at it for a long period of time. It makes you feel empty even, lonely...

I busted my butt to get some good shots of a semi truck that had been hijacked, tires blown out, gun at drivers head. Great shots, but when I contacted the media the first question they asked was "did you get any shots of the crowds of people egging him on ?"

No, because I tried to keep the people out of my picture. Mistake. I left out the human interest twist.
