What type of metering? - 09-23-2005, 04:22 PM

To any photojournalist,

When you are shooting action shots, what type of metering do you use that works the best? I know that lighting and such can change at a moments notice and you may not have time to check your histogram due to you may miss that one special photo.

I'm by no means an expert, but I leave it on Eval... and make lots of shots.

If I have enough time to be careful, I pick a nice middle toned area and spot meter it. Then braket it with a white 2 stops over. Or I use a Sekoni 558 before I start and go from that, then I don't have to worry about metering on the fly.
