The City of Keller conducted a grand-opening ceremony for Fire Station No. 4 on Friday, April 3, 2009.
City Council members Mitch Holmes, John Baker and Ray Brown, Fire Chief Dan Gaumont, Mayor Pat McGrail (and granddaughter), City Councilman Tom Cawthra (with son and daughter) and former council member Mark Harness uncouple a fire hose to mimic a ribbon cutting.
City engineer Keith Fisher, left, receives a fire helmet and honorary designation as a Keller firefighter from Chuck Blankenship and David Jones of the Keller Fire-Rescue.
Newly hired Fire Chief Dan Gaumont, center, and Division Chief Chuck Blankenship chat with a citizen at the ceremony.
Members of Keller Fire-Rescue hang out in the engine bay before the ceremony. The division chiefs wore their dress uniforms and caps to the event, which was the subject of some gentle and subtle ribbing among the firefighters in their everyday working gear.

Coats and gear lined up in the open lockers.
