Abilene Tea Party - 04-15-2009, 10:44 PM

Well, I didn't make it to the Alamo, but my wife did. I didn't get a number of people who attended the protest, but I know it was in the thousands. She took my camera w/her, so I'm hoping there'll be some good shots.

I was able to make to a protest in Abilene where a couple hundred protesters showed up. I wanted this to be a "training" opportunity for me, as I've never tried anything remotely similar to PJ before...but it really turned out to just snapping some pics w/ my daughter's cheap (and pink) P&S.

So, w/o further delay...

The protesters were spread out over a couple of blocks, and a lot of them already left before I got there.

A reporter interviewing a protester for the local news. (My personal favorite shot)

A nice couple....And I happen to like their sign.

Although some people stayed until around 10:00 pm, the majority of people left by 8:00 and things drifted down to smaller groups.
