Interesting. High water gets in. No drains to let it out.

wow, i can't believe it's STILL up that high!! i guess all those trout (or whatever fish they use) have a much larger 'pond' to swim in :P i bet alot of them are making it down stream...wherever it feeds into.

i still remember when i moved to keller when i was in the 3rd grade. we used to try to damn up the creek after it flowed under the covered pedistrian bridge and down into the culvert.

but that was back before "southlake" was a name, and 1709 was a 2 lane, high crowned road with a bunch of potholes. man time flies....

Hey Chad. Man look at the bottom of your photo just at your logo and see the road stripes. I think that would be a great photo to see the stripes clearer. NICE PHOTO.

The reservoir is still full and it flowed over hwy 6 a couple of days after the rain.

Keith I didn't even pay any attention to that line. I was busy trying to to fight away the mosquitoes.

which is exactly the way it is supposed to be, a lot of non-natives don't know that "hill" just north of IH10 is a dam. It was designed to prevent the bulk of west Houston from washing away every time it comes a toadchoker like we had. And it does provide a ground water recharge zone, altho I don't know if that was planned.

the park was purely an afterthought. I do wish they would raise Eldridge and 6 a bit more.

What about the soccer fields at Barker-Cypress at Saums? That is often a lake.....

The fields were flooded after the storm for about a week.

I drove by the other day and the water was high. I was wishing that I had my camera that day. I would have stoped. Awesome photo.
