Forbidden Gardens....Oct. 5th 2009.... - 08-16-2009, 11:17 PM

Forbidden Gardens .....Photo Shoot....!!!

Ok here it is....I have talked with the management and set-up for us to be able to take pictures...move around where ever we want to go...and this will be exclusively for photographers....This will not be an open to the public access...you can bring tripods, monopods, flashes, & any other gear you might need to take the shot...!!! Management only asks for photographs that they might be able to use at a later date for flyers or there website....

Rules:
1. No getting on top of any of the exibits...!!!
2. No Touching the exhibits...!!!
(Other than these two rules....you can move about the grounds uninterrupted and shoot from any advantage point......)

Cost:
Cost for this is $5.00 to pay for the staff that will man the event....you need to bring water and snacks and clean-up after-yourself...!!!

We will start at 9am and go till 1pm....after the Forbidden Gardens we can all go to lunch somewhere close...(La Madeleine or somewhere else)...

Forbidden Gardens

I look forward to seeing everyone there...Tony C.

I have been meaning to check this place out for a while.

I should be in country then but I might be in Denmark.

When It gets closer to the date I'll know where I'll be.

Thanks for setting this up, I have really been wanting to check that place out.

I have been asked the question a lot....The date is Oct. 5th 2009...not Sept 5. 2009...I understand it is on a week-day at which a lot of people will probably not be able to make it...I set the date almost two month in advance just in case you would like to take the day off from work...Please do not show up Sept 5th expecting to get the rate quoted above...I don't want to have this ruined before it gets started....

I am sorry if this was confusing for anyone.

I hope to see you all there...

I noticed the post said this is just for photographers .. What qualifies a person as a "photographer" for this event? Do you have to have a business or is just freelance ok?

You have to be a member here...and want to shoot...I just did not want to set this up when the general public was around...so that we don't have to worry as much about our gear.....I don't have a business...I just love to shoot...

Oh...ya and respect each-others space....if someone is taking a picture just don't push them out of the way to take the same one...!!!

I'm gonna try and get my Brownie modded for some TTV shots here, would be my first try at this outside and could be cool with the terracottas.

Man I wish this was on a weekend (even if the price was higher). I'm already taking time off for two short trips in Oct, so I won't be able to make this. Hopefully it goes well enough that they consider going this again in the future.
