This will be our Official 3rd Annual TPF Christmas Party and there will be plenty of great people and lots of fun to be had!

December 9th - Wednesday

Sugar Land TX 77479
Phone: 281.277.0704
Event Time: 6:00pm - 10:00pm

The Restaurant:
They have a wide variety of food which includes sandwiches, burgers & seafood. Plenty of room for us to spread out and visit. Diner style ordering so trying to get separate checks wont be an issue. The restaurant is split up into to portions, the main seating area restaurant style as well as a full service bar for those that want to get their drink on.

White Elephant Gift Exchange:
We will be having our 3rd Annual TPF White Elephant Gift Exchange so if you would like to participate please bring an unmarked wrapped gift which does not exceed $20 in value. If you have never participated in a White Elephant Gift Exchange please check out THIS LINK. Last year's gift exchange was a RIOT!

Once again, the White Elephant Gift Exchange is not mandatory but you will not be able to participate if you do not bring a gift. Sorry, it's only fair.

Important RSVP Information:
Be sure to plug in your RSVP within this thread if you plan to attend so that we can contact the restaurant in advance in order to give them a heads up of how many will be attending. Thanks!

The After Party!

No need to RSVP for this portion... it's completely optional... just head that way after we leave The Cajun!

TPF Print Exchange

Michael (aka mdparthum) suggested that we do a random print exchange in order to help share our work with other photographers. I thought it was a great idea so I want to include it in our Christmas Party event. Anyone that wants to participate can bring a print and in exchange that person will leave with a print from a fellow photographer/forum member.

The exchange portion will make the selections completely random but trading prints with one another after the final selection is completely ok! That's for you guys to work out. hehe.

Print Exchange Guidelines:

1. Choose a single photograph you have taken that you would like to share with others.

2. Get the photo printed in either a 8x10 or 8x12 size.

3. Carefully write your name and website (optional) on the back of the print.

4. Bring the print to the event enclosed in an envelope so that the contents can not be viewed.

The Print Exchange Procedure has not been finalized as of yet. Richard (aka photonewb) suggested that the selection of the prints should be random in order have that surprise element added which I also feel is a great idea. We will hash out the selection proceedure soon and will let you guys know once it has been finalized.

Only those that bring a print to the event will be allowed to participate in the Print Exchange.

Is anyone interested in doing a print swap? Everyone have an 8x10ish sized print that they shot, autograph it, and then trade with fellow members. All those interested will turn in their print, draw for a number, and then go in number order to choose a print they want. I saw this at a comic-con years ago and thought it would be good to exchange our artwork!

Dawn said the exact same thing.

Except for Abel. This time someone needs to follow him with a camera.

Awesome Idea,

Last year was a ton of fun, I'll make it out again if possible but current work plans are putting me in Rio de Janerio till the 12th i believe.

Hopefully I'll get back in time.

I think prints should be random...all prints come in a manila envelope. We write a number on it, and then you draw random numbers from a hat. You get the number you chose.

This is probably the "fairest " way to go about it.
