Film Crawl V - Washington OTB & Independance - 03-28-2010, 08:35 PM

Our previous planning post picked the date of April 10th.
The Development by Inspection workshop has been delayed untill further notice.

We will be departing Starbucks at the corner of 290 & Hwy6 at 9am.

The first destination will be Washington on the Brazos state park. As this will be wild flower season stops en route will happen.

Lunch will either be in Navisota, or maby a picnic. (Opinions welcomend.)

After lunch we will head for Independance TX.. I hope to shoot some of the lighted churches at dusk (7:45pm)

There has been a post in the planning thread that one of our DFW breathern might join us. I hope to see some of or fellow Austin TPF'ers as well.

I hope to see you all on the 10th.
Lee

FAQ:
1.) What is a Film Crawl? Film Crawls are about a group of photographers getting togeather to photograph one or more locations at a slow easy pace.

2.) Can I come if I don't have a film camera? / Can I bring a digital camera? YES. I encourage you to come. If you are a digital photographer who is the least bit curious about film photography, this is a great way to get to learn some of the basics, check out the equipment, and get advice about starting with film.

Harris:

Scouting the area - 04-02-2010, 07:03 PM

Workers at Washington on the Brazos (on Wednesday, March 31) said they think "peak" of their "wildflower trail" will be 3rd week of April. But the Bluebonnet Festival is the day we plan to be there. Just south of there on Highway 105 is this:

At Independence, it is likely the coverage will peak about the 3rd week of April as well. This taken Wednesday too:

I'm leaving from Bedias before sunrise, stopping in Anderson and Navasota, hoping for vacant streets.

P.S. I did not realize LR3b2 export dumped my exif.
