Houston: TPF Zoo Shoot - 12-23-2008, 07:47 AM

Past few years we've had an impromptu TPF group shoot out at the Houston Zoo. Every year we've had a great turnout so this year I wanted to get another one on the books!

Houston Zoo
1513 N. MacGregor (in Hermann Park).
Google Map location
HoustonZoo.org

Meeting Place: Parking lot near main entrance
Meet Time: 8:00am - 8:30am
Doors Open At: 9:00am

And of course... Kiddos are welcomed!

We'll meet in the parking lot at around 8am... doors open at 9am and we'll just walk around and shoot while the animals are nice and frisky.. before it warms up too much and/or gets too crowded.

We'll head to lunch afterwards at a near by location for those that wanna grub, hang out and talk more shop.

I know for me it's always good to get away from all of the visiting family for a bit and get some shooting in while the zoo is fairly empty!

I think our attendance has been 25 and 30 photographers for the past couple of Zoo Shoots. Let's see what kinda turn out we can muster up this year!

Hey Khanh..

Forecast does shows light rain for the day... so we'll have to wait and see...

I mean it did snow a week or so ago, proving weather here in Houston can change in a heart beat! hehe.

I just got a Lensbaby Composer as an early xmas present, so if we make it out there, I'll definitely be trying it out.

I'm happy with my D90, but I was never dissatisfied with Minolta.
