Adobe Illustrator Help - 05-24-2009, 12:00 PM

In my other life as a coach and president of a soccer league I need to come up with a logo for my team and the club. Attached is the logo I have come up with in photoshop. However the jersey person needs it to be in a vector format (i.e. a Illustrator File). Can anyone maybe convert this into that type of file. I am so green in illustrator.

PS. Could you also change the white lettering to yellow and the blue to red as well as the current way. I am trying to see which one looks best.

Thanks!!!

What is Brazospot United? What are the fonts you used in the design? Do you have a higher resolution image?

You can make vector graphics in Photoshop as well as Illustrator. What file type does your output need to be?

You need to use either "live paint" or "live trace" mode to convert your bit mapped image to vector graphics. I've had limited success using live trace mode and logos. The more small details and number of colors makes it more difficult. Often times it is best to start from scratch using Illustrator, but I'm not artist.

Best of luck!

I can probably do it for you if you have a larger file. This one is too small to get anything out of. What format do you need them in? EPS?

*edit*
These aren't very good, because like I said the file you posted was rather small and I didn't wanna spend too much time on them right now. I converted these to jpeg for the web

The new one looks great. Could you send me the Illustrator files?

I dont have any larger file sorry. I know that it is small. I know nothing about illustrator. How hard is it to make these from scratch?

The file on the site has a resolution of 96px per inch and is a gif file. Perhaps your original is of a higher resolution. Knowing the fonts used may also help.

If you know the fonts please let me know what they are

*edit*
Here's a link to a zipped EPS file. This is the best I could do. Hope they're at least close though.
