RAW to TIFF conversion? - 06-24-2009, 12:06 AM

What's the quickest and easiest way to batch several hundred RAW files to TIFF format? I've heard that the Canon software that comes with the 5DmkII is the best way to go, but maybe not the quickest. Is this true? What is an easy way to handle this?!?

Yep LR

Create a new catalog, import them, may adjustments if neccasary, flag the ones that you like using the tilde key, filter them, select them all then export.

I use Dr Brown's 123 in Photoshop. Just run the script and you are done.

virtually any software that can do it will do it about the same speed as any other if it can do batches. I used Paintshop Pro and it converts from anything to anything as fast as the computer can do it. Browse, select, start.

But I have to ask why are you converting in batch to TIFF? If you are going to edit any of them, there's no reason to go to TIFF 1st. The only time I use the batch process is to take a bunch of semi-grab shots that aren't going to get any post processing to JPG so I can give them to whoever.
