CS3 Disaster HELP!!!!! - 08-15-2009, 08:18 AM

ok for some reason when i went to open up CS3 last night to make some changes to a flyer i had been working on...... it said "You may need to upgrade some text layers before they can be used in a vector out put/base <---- cant remember the word" then it aske me if i would like to upgrade and i say yes then it says "could not process your request due to system error"
so it lets me open my PSD files but when i got to change the text or even add regular text like arial or something it keeps saying the same to bolded quotes up above..... I have a dead line on these flyers and now my CS3 is not letting me work....whats going?!?!?!

SOME ONE PLEASE HELP ME LOL

oh and even if i click no on the upgrade it still wont let me edit/add text

You need to make sure you're working on the correct layer.
And, pretty common error, check at "Picture -> Mode" that you're file doesn't run on "Indexed colors". Switch over to "RGB".
I'm not sure about the menu translations since I'm working with a German version of CS3.

its not the layer issue i would feel like a complete idiot if it was that....instead it was a problem so huge that a rocket scientist had to restart the computer for it to work right....thank God it wasnt simple right or else i would feel dumb

My first suggestion is always REBOOT. lol It's really amazing how many problems that one thing can fix. Glad it worked for you.
