but as you can see from the screen shot I think there is still an issue. The folder application data is not the same color as the others...it still appears like it is hidden...???

SWEAR then!

Get a MAC! Problem solved!

J/K....

When you start CS3, is it the first application you open up after a restart of your system?
I am wondering if you have enough resources available?
How much ram, what CPU and how much disk space do you have?

later,

Huh??????

I do know that I have enough space on the C drive...checked that...wondering about the RAM issue...when I edit those, there is alot, and I mean alot of cloning, stamping, cloning, burning, etc. I think that is where the problem is...

go to Micorcenter or Fy's and buy some RAM! They have great prices...
CS3 is a memory hog, specially on windows! Even on Macs..... but not as much.
Get as much as you can or max it out if you can!

Sometimes if after you've opened and closed and edited quite a few files Adobe seems to like to hold onto bits of the files even after you've closed them out (and it eats up all of your processor thingy). I'm sure you have already tried a restart of your system, but if you haven't that's always a good place to start. Sometimes just opening and closing photoshop will work too.

Other than that google search and see if someone else has/had the same problem and see what they did, I usually find answers that way. Trial and error FTW!

I can help with how to USE photoshop, not so much how to fix it. Good luck.
