A quick solution comes to mind....

Stamp the area but paste it on a new layer, you can do whatever you want to do with the new layer, that including image adjustments.

If you are using CS3 or 4, look over on the left. At the bottom of the tool menu there is two little boxes. If you click on the top one a color picker will come up. Pick your color then click ok, and then stamp away. If you click the little arrows near the color boxes it will switch the bottom color to the top.

LOL, have you tried creating a new layer for the stamp, then apply a color overlay to it?

What color were you trying for? I guess not gold.
On the tool bar on the left you will see the Black and white squares just below the magnifing glass. I choose my color there and then stamp.

Thats exactly what I do too.

Do you have your stamp set as a 'brush preset'?

I have no idea...I've looked and can't find the brush preset...I am using the the pattern stamp tool on the left...

Janice the white/black color boxes on the left don't seem to affect it. on my post with the screen shot...seems that little gold box affects things the most...?????must go find liquor....

Why are you using a stamp tool?? They are brushes. NEVER MIND, you said you couldn't find it. That quote is stamp 703 in my brush list.

J Eddington added 19 Minutes and 40 Seconds later...Double Post Merged Below

Hey girl, look at that screen print you did. at the top is a box that is the same color as the stamp. Change it there.

I have a dumb question:

Why so many different fonts? Rule 1, Day 1, Hour 1: 1 font is plenty.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I should have asked if it was copyrighted by someone else.

It's still too busy.
