PS CS4 text tool change? - 08-23-2009, 06:57 PM

Not sure this is the right area but I have to ask a question. I was working on a photo of my son for his band which included some test. Somehow the text tool got changed to where it became dancing ants when I completed the text. How do I change it to the original text tool? TIA.

You changed the Text Tool to the Text Mask tool. They are all on the same button. To change it, click and hold down the Text Tool button, you will see four Text Tools pop up. Select one of the first two and you should be fine. One is for Horizontal Text and the other for Vertical Text.

OR

Bill, you can use the Fill or Gradient Fill command to fill the marching ants with a cool color, texture, pattern or some other image that would work really cool for a band. Try it.

Thanks very much for the info. I did figure it out last night but now have the tip on the Gradient Fill. Appreciate it.
