Question Help! Apparently I am challenged. - 10-09-2009, 10:26 AM

First off thanks for reading this. I have never taken someone out of a photo or added anyone. I do have several books and I am now cross eyed from reading them. I am attaching a friends picture. The lady needs to be removed and I need to move the boy standing by her to the far side of the older man. On the left hand side. It looks like more space should be added but guess what! I don't know how to do that either. ANY help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Um... I don't think any of that is going to happen. Paint a picture? You could spend a lot of time cutting people out and moving them around and it's not going to look good.

This is not something I would ever attempt to do. Your friend needs to take a new photo.

That is not a simple thing to do. So don't feel bad. I wouldn't do it for anyone. I might hire it done if it were really important to me.

PS can't do everything :) While it may be POSSIBLE, I doubt it would look good. You would have to completely recreate parts of the scene.

I think I would move the 2 men where the lady is, the background can be extended but I think the young mans hand on the older man is the bigger challenge to make the picture fit.

DigitalDiva is right about moving the two men on the left over to the right. You would have to recreate far too much of the background that isn't there by doing it the other way you mentioned. Here is my quick take on what you could do. Hope this gives you a visual reference of how it could be done.

Just in case you wanted to put him on the outside with a little more space around them. Here is my take. It would be much better if I had the original file but you get the idea.
