So I took this photo at the DOD event - and it just kinda seems.....dull to me or something. But I am at a loss on what to do with it - so Im going to post it and see - What would YOU do with it? Feel free to edit this photo to your hearts content and be creative - but if you could - could you tell me what it is you did (and maybe even why)?

Good looking couple.
Have you tried darkening the background?
That way the couple would pop out more.
Wish the young man would have raised his
socks up... :^)

You've got enough in this composition for at least three pictures.
What are you trying to say ?
1- well dressed couple in funny pose ?
2- couple in garden setting ?
3- blue shoes?
4- it's a frame up ?

I haven't addressed the white balance or the exposure problems, just what you could do with
this photo.
The socks
Why are they not looking at the camera?
What's that thing on her face?
Is he resting his chin on the frame ?
Is he missing one arm?

So many possibilities. At events like this you need to watch others, but don't settle for just snapping what they have set up. ( my guess as to what happened with this photo ).
Work with the models yourself. Make mistakes. Learn.

Yes - this was set up by others!:) I had no voice and was so completely out of my element anyway with the posing that I did let a lot of the posing happen with others. Haha (I shoot maternity more than anything and those poses are easy because well...they kind of happen naturally.
I totally see how he looks like a complete amputee too! Weird!
Thanks for the comment and critique!
Oh and the thing on her face is part of the look she was going for - it's make up and rhinestones. Haha.
