Help!! - Adobe Lightroom/General Color Question - 11-12-2009, 10:29 AM

Please god someone tell me WHY it keeps exporting like this out of Lightroom, no matter what the JPEG type of color space.

I've noticed lately most of my pictures always seem a lot more oversaturated and much higher contrast than I usually feel I leave them as after exporting from Lightroom. How can I fix this?!

(btw: looks the same even when exporting straight to photoshop w/ lightroom adjustments)

Another similar question. What would be ideal to choose and why would you want it different (other than for print vs. web reasons)?

Just some thoughts, I'm pretty new to LR myself. Do you have a preset being applied in the export dialogue? You might have to scroll down to see those options. Try hitting save in LR before exporting as another option.

Are you importing RAW images and processing RAW?

If that is the case and you're exporting to JPEG, then your problem is compression loss. When you convert a RAW image to a JPEG, you lose more than 90% of the data. The images will always look less saturated. It's advisable to raise your contrast levels before exporting to JPEG.

I'm shooting in JPEG and exporting in JPEG. I couldn't find in Lightroom where the option would be for the working color space.

Here it is when exporting using Adobe RGB, which is what that help file said is used when working.

A little off, but is this normal? As close as I can get?
