Lightroom export question

I am moving to a new website, and I need to export some tournaments(large amount of files) to a new location but need to make the files much smaller while maintaining my folder structure and lightroom edits. It can go away after creating the smaller files after I upload but keeping the folders structure is imperative.

Currently I can export from lightroom but will no longer have that luxury and need the easiest way to do this. It seems if I try to select multiple folders, when I export the folder structure is not maintained....if this is not possible now, perhaps I can do something better upfront, I think there is a way to make two imports at the same time so for the next one, perhaps I can do that export in place then blow the smaller files away and repoint it at the larger originals? Any help is appreciated. I have included a brief illustration below as I am not sure I am explaining myself!

I'm not at home, but if I remember correctly you can do this is the LR3 beta.. I can't remember about LR2 though.
