Daylight Balanced Lighting - 11-27-2009, 11:25 PM

Several years ago I commandeered my son's bedroom when he left for boot camp. My wife allowed me to paint the walls grey and I had very decent lighting - balanced almost for daylight.

Then - grandkids! So my wife decided the grandkids needed that room when they came to visit on weekends. I relocated all "my stuff" to the garage.

But my lighting was the pits. Everything looked red on paper. So after printing I had to take stuff to the front or back doors to view. Until yesterday I could not find light bulbs that came close to what I had in the "grey room".

We got these at Home Depot.

Ecosmart 40 watt equivalent daylight compact fluorescent - three bulbs in the ceiling fan light fixture over the photoshop computer.

Item 252 763

Nothing scientific here - when viewing my prints under these lights the colors look very much as they should.
