How to achieve this effect - 12-17-2009, 01:28 PM

Any thoughts on how to achieve this effect? It looks somewhat like the photographer used a warming filter overall, and then essentially restored the original colors to the three sisters.

Any thoughts as to what possible third party filters and such might achieve this effect?

My guess is

1. yellow/orange color filter
2. circular gradient (brighter exposure in the upper middle) - maybe...
3. add selective fog (many software vendor has this type of photoshop plugin)
4. add a 'sandstone' type of overlay and adjust opacity and blend mode

this is kinda like cooking. When you have the right ingredient (softwares), you just have to try different mix until you see something you like.

Textures, using PS to create light behind the subject and use masks, layer styles and duping the layer style. A quicky

What filter did they use to get that freshly 'rained on' look with the fog in the background?

Check out TRA's "Dirty Pictures". I bought them and like them a lot.
