Removing elements from my desktop - 12-20-2009, 09:55 AM

I just purchased CS3 for my desktop and laptop and was told I would have to completely remove PSE6 before I could put it on them, that they would "compete" with each other. Is this true? I'm so afraid of removing something I might need.

Elements focuses on enhancing, sharing and organizing images with basic filters and text capabilities all of which can be easily created in PS CS3/CS4 as your skills with Photoshop enhance.

If you have pre-sets saved in Elements, I'm certain that you will have the option of retaining them as you uninstall Elements. Hopefully there is a way to IMPORT those pre-sets later in PS CS3 after it's installed. Photoshop allows users to keep pre-sets intact after uninstall.

Once you get use to Photoshop CS3, I personally think you wont miss Elements at all.

I have CS, Elements 1 and Elements 5 on the same desk top. No problems. But I almost always use CS.
