I'm thinking of getting PSE8 pretty soon and have a question.

Can I install PSE8 on my hard drive and store my photos on an external hard drive? I want to get an external hard drive, but don't see the purpose if I have to have the photos on the internal hard drive to manipulate and organize them.

Thanks!

Hello, no you don't have to store them on your internal hard drive. You can open files from any drive even your card if you have not moved them to a drive yet and then save them to what ever drive you wish. Good luck, Tom

PSE8 also gives you 2GB of external storage on their remote site for free as a backup.

If you lose a drive you haven't lost your photos..
