Watermark and frames with MAC

I recently purchased a MAC and have been playing with the iphoto program which satisfies most of my basic editting needs...question is, how do I watermark photos if I need to and also, if I wanted to created a little border/frame around a picture, how can I do that? Is there another app I can get for MAC...I had PSE before but there were too many buttons and fufu for me to really mess with...all I ever used it for was mass watermarks and mass file changes.

Lightroom 3 Beta can watermark your images. The ability is new in the 'Develop' dialogue.

what about just adding text? Can you do that with Iphoto or something else that is free?? LOL

iPhoto can't do it. It is more of an entry level photo management app as opposed to actual editing. Don't know about free options.

I thought one could add text with iPhoto. Hmm, been too long since I've used it. You can try Pixelmator from the Apple Store. It is not free, but fairly inexpensive. It looks a lot like Photoshop I'm told.
