By any chance do you have an external HDD connected to the system via USB or firewire? If so, is that disk disabled as a cache device for Photoshop (check preferences and the performance page). I had a weird issue where it was trying to use that drive for cache and because it was slow, the mouse (or tablet in my case) input was way ahead of what I saw on the screen.

Check it out...

I'm going to vote CPU. Pull up the task manager on your PC, go to the performance tab and watch the CPU bar when you move your mouse around, then when you open iTunes, then when you open CS4. You may want to consider a Graphics card with a good GPU on it to lessen the load on your CPU. Also, check the vendors site for your motherboard and see if there are any Firmware updates.

Why would you say that? She never said it was Vista OS.
Besides if she just bought a new computer wouldn't it be Windows 7.

Win 7 is the cover up with some fixes of Vista ... so instead of Vista 2.0 ... its Win 7.

Under the Hood, Windows 7 Is Vista's Twin - PCWorld

**EDIT** I am not fully bashing the windows system ... I am bashing Win 7 / Vista ... I have a windows XP system ... as well as my Macs ... I would rather have the Win XP if I needed to go Windows. ... but this is me.

HotHolly, good luck figuring out your issue ... hopefully someone in the corp will see that bug and update a fix for ya.
